Poonam Yadav
Founder & Managing Director, Chunaav
Poonam Yadav is the Founder of Chunaav, an established political consulting firm in India. She has over 17 years of experience in leading political campaigns, research initiatives and strategic communications. What started as a dream in 2012, has become a force to reckon with on the Indian political landscape, a decade later. Over the years, the firm has worked across 14 states and helped numerous state and national leaders achieve successful electoral wins.
Before starting Chunaav, Poonam worked on a range of strategic, operational, and organisational projects in the Indian political space. She has unique and in-depth experience across the rural, political and legal canvas of India. Some of her distinctive work experiences come from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Meghalaya, Karnataka, Assam, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. These projects have powered her insights for concentrated socio-political impact. She has the natural ability to connect with both rural and urban audiences bringing a deep understanding of different territories, linguistics, and cultures.
Poonam is passionate about working towards a more empowered democracy. She believes this is only possible by engaging youth, women, and the marginalized in the electoral processes. Poonam enjoys traveling all over the country to gain new perspective of our diverse demographics. She loves to read for learning as well as pleasure, with a particular fondness for history, philosophy, and thrillers. Poonam received her master’s in Business Laws from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. She has also done her undergraduate degree from Miranda House College, University of Delhi and holds a diploma in IPR & IT from the Indian Law Institute.
